FRAMEHOP / PRE-LAUNCH
Privacy
Updated 20 October 2026. Framehop is in pre-launch. Purchases are limited to release testing. The Free app is available as a direct, unnotarized download. The operator is RJB, trading as Framehop. Contact 8rjb@proton.me for support, security, privacy, or subscription questions. The operator’s full legal details and postal address, final sales terms, refund process, and tax treatment remain to be confirmed before launch.
Your desktop stays on your network
Framehop streams desktop video directly between your Mac and the browser receiver on your local network using WebRTC. The local pairing page and signaling use HTTP. Use a trusted network. Anyone with your active pairing link can view that display and, if enabled, control the mouse. Keep it private.
Accounts and subscriptions
When enabled, Stytch verifies email/password sign-in and sends the required one-time email code. Framehop forwards passwords and codes over HTTPS to Stytch for verification; it does not store them. Both password and emailed code must be verified before Framehop creates a signed-in session. Stripe will store billing information and subscription status. Framehop uses a pseudonymous account identifier, email, and installation code to associate a subscription with one Mac. Card details are entered on Stripe-hosted pages.
Licence checks and storage
The Mac stores its installation code and activation credential in macOS Keychain. The website uses a encrypted Secure HttpOnly session cookie lasting at most one hour (and a sign-in transaction cookie lasting ten minutes) for sign-in. Pro contacts the licence service periodically to check subscription status; desktop images and receiver mouse events are not sent to that service. Hosting providers may process request metadata for delivery and security. No advertising or analytics scripts are included.
Retention and requests
Billing data is retained by Stripe subject to its policies and legal requirements. Before launch, the operator must publish retention periods and a verified contact for access, deletion, and privacy requests. Send account, access, deletion, correction, or privacy requests to 8rjb@proton.me. Do not send passwords, verification codes, card details, pairing links, or licence keys. Deletion is an operator-assisted process and is not yet available as self-service. The operator must verify the requester, revoke access, remove eligible account and activation data, and explain any records retained for legal obligations. No retention schedule or international-transfer assessment has been approved yet; these are launch requirements.
